Die Die Die My Darling by Metallica

I had an unforgettable night in Istanbul on June 27th, 2010. In the last day of the Sonisphere Festival I’ve listened to Manowar (them on 26th, a day before), Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer and Metallica at Inonu Stadium with another 30.000 people. I’ve spent all my teenage years and early twenties listening to heavy metal. Last night a terrible headache and songs that I’ve long forgotten apparently have helped me realize that my metal years are something of a past but the f*ckin’ MEMORRRYYY REMAIIINNSSS!!! HELL YEAHH. :)

So…long story short, I’ve listened to Manowar’s Hail and Kill, and Black Wind Fire and Steel; Megadeth’s A Tout Le Monde, Slayer’s Reign in Blood and South of Heaven; and then a number of songs by Metallica, first and foremost Fade to Black, Fore Whom The Bell Tolls. I regretfully departed 20 minutes before the end as the only one walking out at that very moment, and missed Nothing Else Matters and Enter Sandman coz my wife Semra was alone at home and it was already too late by the time I left the stadium, and it takes about 1,5 hour to get to home…What could I do? Nothing Else Matters but Semra. :)

So…this post is a tribute to the so-called big four for the wonderful concert, sang by Metallica though not originally a Metallica song.
